After his canonisation (sainthood), hundreds of faithful and pilgrims visit the shrine of St.Devasahayam daily and especially on weekends.
A data shows that at least 800 to
1000 pilgrims visit this shrine daily; 1500 to 2000 pilgrims visit the shrine during the weekends;
2000 to 2500 pilgrims attend the Friday prayer, novena and mass; 4000 to 5000 pilgrims visit the
weekend during the lent; 3000 to 3500 pilgrims visit during Christmas holidays; 4000 to 5000 pilgrims
visit during summer holidays; 70000 pilgrims visit during the annual feast of the shrine (January 8 to 14)
and 5000 pilgrims visit on May 15, the day of his canonisation. The pilgrims come to this shrine to have the
experience of God and spiritual awakening.
They come with petitions such as seeking good health, peace of mind,
unity in the family, for counselling and spiritual awakening trainings and activities.
Pilgrims from all faiths and all walks of life come to this shrine.
